Why most golf schools don't stick

You've probably seen it. A golfer comes home from a golf school with a notebook full of tips and, a month later, the same old swing.

The problem usually isn't the instruction. It's too many golfers per coach, too much time on the range and nothing after you leave. I built the Instant Golf Improvement golf school to fix all three.

What's included

All for $1,999 per golfer. Tuition rises to $2,299 on January 1, 2027.

  • 14 hoursof coaching over two days at Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate
  • 3 to 1coach-to-golfer ratio, guaranteed, so you're coached, not watching
  • 9 holesof on-course coaching each afternoon, with real lies, real targets and a real score
  • 9 golfersper school, so groups stay small
  • Lunchboth days
  • Unlimitedfollow-up after the school, so the changes travel home with you

What your two days look like

Mornings are for skills. You rotate through stations with your coach: full swing, short game and putting. Every station ties back to one of the six pillars, so you always know why you're working on something.

Afternoons are for golf. You play nine holes with your coach each day. That's where a swing that works on a flat range mat gets tested on a sidehill lie with water in front. It's also where you learn to manage your game, which saves more strokes than most swing changes.

You leave with a plan. Your coach writes down the two or three things that will help you most, with the drills to own them. Then you've got unlimited follow-up to keep you on track.

Try this before you come: the wedge ladder

Here's a drill straight from our short-game station, and you can start it this week. Put targets on the range at 30, 40, 50 and on up to 120 yards, ten yards apart. Hit three balls to each one with the wedge that feels right. Write down which club and which swing length gets you there.

Most golfers find big gaps. Maybe nothing reliable between 50 and 80 yards. Those gaps are where scoring goes to die. Bring your notes, and we'll fill them in on day one.
